Here, Kane Brothers transformed an otherwise unattractive detention basin into a private paradise. The goal was to build a significant natural waterfall and surrounding garden that could be viewed from the house across the expansive lawn.

The original fish pond was dredged and brought back to life by clearing much of the overgrown and invasive species. A small sand beach that had been all but washed away was reestablished across from the dramatic falls. A path weaves through an expansive garden that contains year-round color. Boulder steppers traverse the garden waterfall and provide path for the adventurous to a secluded patio.

In addition to the custom water feature design and installation, Kane Brothers enhanced the home by adding a large perennial garden, which envelopes a 1,300-foot patio constructed of immense bluestone slabs, as well as a rock garden and religious shrine for a truly unique landscape.
